Kristina – srednje kasna sorta graška šećerca (Pisuum sativum. var. sacharata L.) Centra za povrtarstvo

    Summary

     

    The new variety of sweet Pea “Kristina” has been created in the Centre for Vegetable Cropsin Smederevska Palanka. New selected genotype has been created by crossing low variety “Snow bird” and high variety “Vodicki secerac”, using pedigree method. The variety belongs to medium late - 72 days from germination to technological maturity of pod. The plant is 69 cm high. In technological maturity in the open field it is 39 cm high, with lodging resistance index 56.9%. The plant is dark green and forms 17.4 nodes and it flourishes from the 10th node. Total number of pods is 9.7 with average 8.1 grains. Pods are 9.4 cm long and 2.3 cm wide. The variety has high yield: 12 t/ha of technologically mature pods. Introducing new variety of sweet Pea “Kristina” in the producing process, the assortment of Pea would be completed.
